A simulation is a realistic representation of real events. Simulation of the controlled system is an effective tool to use during the development process for developing and validating software. The model can be used as a pure simulation or as feedback for physical control systems in a HIL simulator.
The ability to apply simulation techniques stretches from component-level, e.g a motor, to complete virtual vehicles runing in a simulated environment comprised of both additional road users and infrastructure. Using simulation models it is possible to supply a unique virtual world for any and all applications.
