Real-Time Testing (RTT) is a tool for executing tests based on Python scripts directly on the real-time platform. It is possible to automate tests and run them synchronously with the simulation model. Since the tests from RTT execute directly on the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) hardware, tests where accurate timing is important can be performed. Thus, there is no latency from communication with the hardware during test execution.
The tool supports the PC-based virtual platform VEOS, which means that tests can also be performed on offline-simulations. Real-Time Testing also works with frameworks for tests that have been created in AutomationDesk.
