Single-Board Hardware

A Single-Board Hardware is a complete real-time system, including a processor (Power PC) and I/O (ASD, DA, CAN, Digital I/O), on a single board which is mounted on a stationary PC with PCI- and ISA-interface. These boards are well suited when only a limited number of I/O are needed. With a Single-Board solution from dSPACE available on a PC, Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) can be executed directly on the PC without an extra simulation platform.

For easier connection of the hardware which is going to be connected to the Single-Board Hardware, a switch panel can be used. These come in two variants, with or without LED to see the status of all I/O.

When more I/O is required, but a small system which can be used directly on the desk is desired, MicroLabBox is recommended.
